Starting to work on holiday windows and interiors. Currently doing material testing to figure out what we want to integrate into our garland. Right now playing with the idea of artichokes and berries. Excited to start experimenting with color.
It's real. It's finished. It's on Amazon! This coloring book was one of the largest projects I think I've ever done. I've always had dreams of making a book, I just never thought it would happen so suddenly.
With my own journey, through art and self reflection, I've come to the realization that yes, I am enough. This coloring book is filled with feminist, women empowering and gender equality quotes, that I feel very passionate about. Each one ignites a fire inside of me, telling me I am enough. I hope that fire spreads to the owners of this coloring book as well.
Alas, after coming home from work, just to dive into my artwork and many days off spent like a hermit in my room finishing this coloring book; it's done.
Thank you for coming on this journey with me. Thank you to the countless friends who, even though I neglected my time with them, they kept supporting me! Also, thank you to my parents and family, for your continued support.
I had the wonderful opportunity of being a part of the April Issue of BORO Magazine, a local Queens publication. I swear I have to pinch myself every time I say that.
#QNSMADE showcases a few artists and makers who work in the area. Some great work! Check them out on instagram! @littleprickshop @queensknits @metrixjewelry @no_fork
Thank you BORO Magazine and Hayley Bridgewater for this fantastic opportunity!

Working on a project that I've had in my head for awhile. I won't spoil it for you guys quite yet, but I'm super excited.
Keep updated on my most recent endeavors by following my Instagram @penwomanship. I should be announcing my most recent project soon. I'm about halfway finished with it, aiming for an April reveal!
Hey ladies and gents, it's true. I finally own a printer. I decided on the Canon Pixma MX922 inkjet printer, after much research and back and forth between some other models, I'm obsessed. I've been printing designs and scanning images into my computer. I can't stop thinking, "Why didn't I get one of these sooner."
I'm starting to formulate a plan for my etsy shop. I need to make more of my designs digital (in the works as we speak) and start marketing myself and my products.
Setting new goals is always so exciting. Now to get down to business (quite literally).
(Above) I got inspired by my new printer and finally made this design digital, still working on tweaking it, but I'm in love! Soon to be on my etsy shop.
The past couple weeks have been a true honor. I always love stepping into the art room at Anthro and working with fantastic human beings and artists. That art room has great vibes and wonderful minds. I always go to work in a good mood and leave feeling accomplished and respected; which is saying a lot, based off the jobs I've had in the past couple years. I would be lying if I didn't say it would be a dream to be able to be full time in display all the time. Well...here's to dreaming.
until next time art room...until next time.
This quote has been stuck in my head for awhile, I keep sketching it. This morning I finally hunkered down and painted it. Here is the process video, which is a little rough around the edges, but I like it. Check out my @penwomanship Instagram for the completed project. I added an ombré effect after finishing this video.
Last year was a much needed refresh. I can't believe I've come this far in one year. I've filled six sketchbooks, read 30 books, lost 25 lbs, I eat much healthier, journaling consistently, drawing and designing like a mad woman. I can only hope that 2016 is that much better!
I'm starting to set goals for the new year, by reading over my old sketchbooks and seeing what I didn't quite finish last year. I'm starting by launching my website.
Sometimes we allow things to hold us back. Thinking about the money or the time that we just don't have. Well I think you just have to jump in. Just start...The rest will come.
Heres to 2016! And all the opportunity and possibility!
